Up to $5,000.00 available for qualified buyers to use on the purchase of a home in Montgomery County!
Downpayment assistance is available to first-time homebuyers purchasing properties in all areas of Montgomery County outside the cities of Dayton and Kettering.
First-time homebuyers can get up to $5,000 to use for any expenses related to the downpayment, including closing costs, principle reduction, or interest rate buy-down. The actual dollar figure will represent 6% of the purchase price of the home, up to a maximum of $5,000.
The assistance comes in the form of a 0% deferred loan that is repaid when the homeowner no longer resides in the property. No monthly payments are required. Eligible families must be at or below 80 percent of the area median income level. Participants must also complete a home buyer’s education class and make a minimum cash investment of $500 in the purchase transaction.
